Aim: Who leads and who follows on the island?

The society on the island is breaking into classes. There is an aristocracy which rules.
In an essay of at least one page, explain which characters are the aristocracy. Explain why, if there are strong leaders, and they have been on the island a long time, very little has been accomplished. Be sure to explain in detail who is and is not working, and why. Be specific and use examples from the novel. Pay attention to the character of Simon, who has a lot to say.

HOMEWORK #LF4

READ page 47 to page 52

Jack has changed. Is he still focused on being rescued? What is he really focused on? Catching a pig is more important than just getting meat, it is becoming an obsession. Explain why it is so important for Jack to kill a pig. In at least a full half page, explain why he is conflicting with Ralph in this section.
